HR Admin Assistant (Recruitment) - 4 months fixed term contract

Location: Central Support Office, Emersons Green, Bristol

Hours: Part Time 20 hours per week

Salary: £14,158 pro rata - £7.78 per hour 

This is a great opportunity for someone to join our small and busy HR Recruitment Team working for a national charity.

Day to day activities will include checking and posting job adverts, answering general recruitment queries by email and phone, assisting with interview arrangements and logging recruitment feedback. The role will involve a high level of data entry, and also the opportunity to support a range of other recruitment related duties.

The person we are looking for will have good IT and communication skills and be able to work as part of a small team. Crucial to your success will be an excellent attention to detail, the ability to input data accurately, and a methodical, organised style of working.

Whilst advantageous, you don’t need previous HR experience but you must be able to demonstrate good administration skills including the ability to prioritise a busy workload and be able to maintain strict confidentiality.

Hours of work are 20 per week, worked over 4 or 5 days.

Job Title: HR Admin Assistant (Recruitment)

Location: Central Support Office – Bristol, Emersons Green

Responsibility to: Senior HR Officer

Main Duties:

  1. To provide admin support on aspects of recruitment and selection, including internet and social media campaigns.
  2. Responsibilities will include:
  3. Assisting with the checking of job adverts requests
  4. Checking, updating and re-formatting job documents and paperwork as required
  5. Assisting with recruitment queries, by email and telephone, both internal and external
  6. Data entry, including posting vacancies on internal systems, websites, job boards and via social media
  7. Checking published jobs for accuracy
  8. Responding to general recruitment queries, including responding to speculative applications and other applications passed on by internal colleagues
  9. Responding to queries from job applicants, and keeping in contact as and when needed
  10. Requesting and logging feedback from applicants, managers and services on recruitment campaigns
  11. Assisting with interview arrangements and communicating outcomes
  12. Benchmarking external market rates and recruitment processes
  13. Logging leaver details on to the candidate management system
  14. Maintaining and tracking online recruitment campaigns
  15. Maintaining confidentiality in all aspects of the job and adhering to Hft's Policies, Procedures and values
  16. Undertaking any other duties as are appropriate and relevant to the job

Person Specification: HR Admin Assistant

What you need to be an HR Admin Assistant:

Must haves:

  • Been educated to A level, or can demonstrate equivalent experience 
  • Excellent IT skills, with experience of MS Office - Word and Excel
  • Good communication skills – both written and verbal
  • The ability to effectively prioritise a range of tasks 
  • The ability to provide an excellent customer service and to build positive relationships with staff and other professionals.
  • The ability to work as part of a team and independently
  • Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • An understanding of the meaning of, and need for confidentiality
  • A commitment to equality and diversity
  • The ability to work within the aims, objectives, policies and practice of Hft 

Nice to haves:

  • HR admin or recruitment experience
  • A range of administrative experience in a professional office environment
  • Experience of extracting and manipulating data using Excel to produce reports
