Thumbs-up for Personalised Technology at Hft
Personalised technology (PT) at Hft was given the thumbs-up by Lancashire County Council recently when we were recognised by their commissioning services.
We won the Technology Award and were commended in the ‘Personalisation’ category of the ‘Lancashire’s Got Talent’ Awards.
The event was organised to celebrate excellence and good practice in a number of fields that also included innovation, community, wellbeing and partnership working.
The winners of the awards were selected by a panel of three people; the Head of Commissioning, the Area Commissioning Manager and the Commissioning Support Officer – and the decision to give give Hft the Technology awards (and commend us in the Personalisation category) was unanimous.
Laura Dunbar, Commissioning Support Officer commented: “The panel was very impressed with Hft’s commitment, and their personal taste approach to technology. The use of technology is a challenge for many organisations and Hft have clearly shown their hard work in this area.”
As these accolades are rewarded by commissioners, Sarah Weston, Innovation Manager, thinks this is an important step in integrating PT into mainstream social care commissioning, saying “Personalised technology can and does make a huge difference to the lives of the people we support and it’s great to see the hard work of our PT team being recognised in this way.”
PT Coordinator Vince Scaife also attended the ceremony and accepted the awards, and demonstrated many of our PT products to Lancashire County Council staff.
